Non-Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics Team (6 – 10 Years Old)

At Queen RG in Lake Barrington, our Non-Competitive Team offers young gymnasts ages 6 to 10 a supportive environment to explore rhythmic gymnastics while developing strength, flexibility, and artistry.
This program bridges the gap between recreational training and competitive Level 3, combining the fun of learning with the discipline of structured skill building and ballet technique.

What Level 3 Gymnasts Learn

Fundamentals of rhythmic gymnastics — posture, balance, and coordination
Introductory apparatus skills using ball, rope, and hoop
Classical ballet training to develop grace, body line, and musicality
Flexibility and strength development for future competitive levels
Teamwork, focus, and confidence building
Learning short choreographed group performances to music

Skill Development Highlights

Improved splits and back flexibility
Better apparatus control and hand-eye coordination

Coaching Approach

Queen RG’s coaching team combines 40 years of experience in rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, and dance. Coaches emphasize positive feedback, precision in technique, and a love of movement. Each gymnast progresses at her own pace with individualized attention.

Competitions and Performances

Although this team does not compete officially, gymnasts perform in seasonal Queen RG showcases and club events, building confidence on stage and experiencing the joy of performance in front of family and friends.

Parents love this program as a balanced introduction to rhythmic gymnastics. It develops focus and body awareness while remaining fun and age-appropriate. Many students transition seamlessly from the Non-Competitive Team into our Level 3 Competitive Program
